Pisa, Italy

The Leaning Tower of Pisa is located (of course) in Pisa, which is a couple of hours north of Rome. We made a stop here on our way out of Italy. There's really not much else to see in Pisa. Actually, the architects noticed the tower leaning before it was finished. You can see that they tried to straighten it out near the top. Today, engineers are trying all kinds of tricks to keep it from leaning any further. They have the whole thing fenced off and are applying ballast to one side while pumping water out of the ground on the other side to try to stop the tower from falling.

Here's me holding up the famed leaning tower.
